When Mia launched this business, she looked over competitors websites to see how she should structure her services. However something felt wrong, most places split their services by gender and the services were not descriptive enough for the areas that are being sugared. These were two huge issues, she hated the idea of charging a different price according to gender and was left confused as to how to describe her services. That's when she decided on gender neutral pricing and structuring her service by body part.
Gender Neutral Pricing
Here at Lovely Sugaring, pricing is based on the amount of hair growth and appointment duration. We believe that prices should be based on the amount of work we do and not your gender identity. Gender neutral prices lets treat clients with respect and care, no one should assume someone's gender identity, let alone price them differently for it. Pricing based on hair growth also allows us to reward our regulars. Those who book every 4-6 weeks will have less hair than those who are returning after 8 weeks. It's easier for us, cheaper for you, and not to mention there are tons of benefits to sugaring regularly as well.
Service By Body Part
All bodies are different; hence, they have different sugaring needs, our clients can add the services as they need to cater to their own needs. You can keep adding services to your appointment, as long as the appointment total time does not exceed 1 hour and 30 minutes.
You may be wondering why we limit our appointment times and do not offer full body services. That is because of our sugaring hand method. Since it's done in small sections with precision, doing full body sugaring could take up to 3 hours. We found that 1 hour and 30 minutes is the longest time that is both comfortable for our clients and our technicians.
Our Hand Method?
One of the core techniques our estheticians master is the hand method. This approach begins with carefully assessing your hair's natural growth pattern. The sugar paste is then applied and removed in small sections, following the hair's natural direction. Working this way helps minimize irritation and significantly reduces the risk of ingrown hairs. This technique is also why sugaring services are offered by individual body areas. Because each section requires careful assessment and precise removal, treating specific body parts allows for better time management during appointments and ensures fair, transparent pricing.
Case Study
As an example, let's say you only want to sugar your lower legs since it might be skirt weather but not swimsuit weather yet, you also would love your eyebrows touched up, and you want to sugar your Groin Area. You would simply add Eyebrow Sugaring, Groin Area, and Half Legs to your appointment. Other salons would force you to get a Full Face sugaring, Full legs and a Full Pelvic, costing you way more. Not to mention you might be charged based on your gender.
